USS Worcester Deck Log

The ship's deck log contains a record of the some of the activities that have occurred on or near a ship. It is not nearly as detailed as the "Captain's Log" on Star Trek. Some example of what is found in the deck log are as follows:

• Smith, John R. is assigned to the ship
• Smith, John R. is transferred to another ship or a Navy facility
• Smith, John R. was 30 minutes late returning from liberty and is sentenced to 2 days of bread and water by the deck court.
• Underway in company with TG-167.3 in accordance with ComSixthFleet Confidential dispatch 270835Z of July 1950.
• Formation Course is 104(t) and pgc, formation speed is 17 knots, 151 r.p.m.

The contents and format of the log are set via Navy regulations.

Listed below are the month and year that I have obtained copies of the pages of the ship's decklog from the US National Archives. I have scanned the pages for those time periods and made the graphic images of the pages available. The pages are 8.5" x 14" in size.
